Excavation Trenching & Shoring Competent Person
Length: 8 Hours
Upon successful completion of the Excavation Trenching and Shoring Competent Person course the student will be able to recognize hazards in and around open trenches and excavations, to conduct a site assessment and take necessary measures to control and or abate hazards.
- Students will receive an introduction to OSHA 29 CFR 1926 650-652 Subpart P-Excavation Standard
- Students will practice and demonstrate soil classification
- Students will be able to conduct site inspections
- Practical application with a site excavation is recommended
