Upon successful completion of the Excavation Trenching and Shoring Competent Person course the student will be able to recognize hazards in and around open trenches and excavations, to conduct a site assessment and take necessary measures to control and or abate hazards. Students are qualified to be appointed by their employer for duties of the competent person.
