Participants will be evaluated on their knowledge, skills and abilities during the learning seminar and will complete a final examination.
Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Passport is a Certification Course designed for Students who have the potential to be exposed to H2S in an environment with concentrations greater than the Occupational Exposure Limit.
This is an instructor-led in person course in a classroom setting that is ideal for entry level employees, supervisors, and safety personnel working in industries where H2S exposure is a risk.
Essential workers from oil and gas, petroleum, municipalities, utilities, research and development laboratories, transportation, paper/pulp/food processing industries, construction, chemical manufacturing companies, government regulatory entities, and environmental services.
The training typically lasts 3-4 hours and includes a combination of classroom instruction with powerpoint, lecture, group tabletop exercise, student participation, videos and practical, hands-on exercises.
Upon successful completion of the course, Students will receive a H2S Certification, that contains each employee's name, the signature of the Trainer, and the dates of Training, valid for one year.
The certificate of completion is available for review by employees and their authorized representatives with the students Training Passport.
Training Passport is a digital Training history of a person's Training Records.
This course meets the requirements of the ANSI/ASSE Z390.1-2017 Accepted Practices for Hydrogen Sulfide Training.
No prior experience is required, but a training on OSHA Hazard Communication and a basic understanding of workplace safety is recommended.
