Confined Space Certification Permit-Required


Course Overview:


The purpose of this program is to ensure the safety of all workers and comply with all federal and state requirements that pertain to Confined Spaces.


Accurate Safety Compliance offers this comprehensive Confined Space Certification Permit-Required Course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely enter and work in and around Confined Spaces.


The course covers regulatory requirements, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures, ensuring that all participants are prepared to work safely in Confined Space environments where hazards may be present.


Course Objectives:


  • Competence in Confined Space Duties, Roles & Responsibilities for Authorized Entrant, Attendant, Supervisor, and Rescuer.
  • Understand the definition of Confined Spaces and the associated hazards.
  • Determine Permit Required Confined Spaces versus Non-Permit Required Confined Spaces.
  • Learn relevant OSHA regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify and assess potential hazards in Confined Spaces.
  • Master the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
  • Develop effective entry and exit procedures, including permit systems.
  • Implement emergency response strategies and rescue plans.
  • Train affected employees by practicing making permit space rescues with assigned duties and by means of simulated rescue operations in which they remove a Rescue Randy manikin from actual permit spaces or from representative permit spaces.
  • Hands-On Training with Gas Detection Single Gas and Multi-Gas Monitors.
  • Does not include CPR First Aid Training or Respiratory Protection Training.


Duration:


This course is delivered over a one-day period, combining classroom instruction with practical, hands-on training.


Certification:


Upon successful completion of the course, Students will receive a Confined Space Certification, that contain each employee's name, the signature of the Trainer, and the dates of Training, valid for one year.


The certificate of completion is available for review by employees and their authorized representatives with the students Training Passport.


Training Passport is a digital Training history of a person's Training Records.

Target Audience

This is an instructor-led in person course in a classroom setting that is suitable for employees, supervisors, and safety personnel who may be involved in confined space operations across various industries, including oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, maintenance, and utilities.
Rescuers are required to take Designated Rescuer Training.

Prerequisites

Participants should have a basic understanding of workplace safety practices. No prior experience in confined space entry is required..
